The Houston Film Critics Society is a 501(c)3 non-profit dedicated to supporting film enjoyment and education in the greater Houston area.
Our activities include hosting film screenings, supporting local film events and organizations, helping individuals interested in entering the world of film criticism and journalism and hosting our annual awards ceremony devoted to highlighting the best of film, with a spotlight on Texas made film.
We are the only regional film critic’s society to host a live awards show every year, which is open to the public and carries only a nominal ticket fee in order to hold one’s seat. All awards show ticket sales go to the Museum of Fine Arts Houston, where we hold this event.
We need and welcome your help in accomplishing all of this. All donations from you go directly to the support of HFCS activities, and as a 501(c)3 organization your donations are 100% tax deductible. All supporters will be recognized in the program at our Awards Show. We and the film lovers of Houston thank you!
