Fact: The holiday season doesn’t end with New Year’s Day. Proof: Currently available are tickets to the latest iteration of the Houston Film Critics Society Awards, scheduled from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on January 2 at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston.
The tickets are $9 each, and only $7 for museum’s members. Tickets for seniors are at $7 each.
Besides the main event, in which HFCS members recognize the best artistic and technical elements of 2019’s best films — among them stuntwork, attendees will also see filmmaker Roger Corman receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award.
The MFAH will again host Corman on January 3 for a special screening of his film, The Masque of the Red Death, featuring cinematography from Nicholas Roeg. This is a digital 4K restoration of the film, and besides the top-notch quality scenes previously cut by censors have been reinserted.
Tickets for this event are also available right now.
See you there!🎬
