Each year the HFCS Film Studies Student Tuition Scholarship bestows two awards of up to $500 each: one for filmmaking itself, and the other for film criticism or other such scholarly and/or historical pursuit. The HFCS Scholarship Committee will make the final selection of the scholarship recipient, and the scholarships will be paid directly to the recipient’s college.

Presentation to recipients will take place during an HFCS event determined by the membership, and recipients are expected to attend. Hotel accommodations will be provided to all non-Houston recipients, and those living outside a reasonable driving distance from Houston will be provided a modest travel stipend to help defray expenses.
